Before history was recorded, memory was carved in stone.
This collection is inspired by the petroglyphs found in my community and nearby lands in Valle de El General, in Costa Rica — sacred marks that carry an invaluable cultural legacy. Symbols created not for one generation, but for many. Messages meant to endure.
Petroglyphs connect the past with the present in a silent, uninterrupted line. Though their meanings are not fully deciphered, their presence still speaks. Mystery does not weaken them — it strengthens them. What we cannot fully translate, we are invited to feel.
These carvings have survived centuries of change, weather, and time. They remain, reminding us that true value is not measured by age, but by continuity. By the way something keeps connecting people across generations.
Through fine wire weaving, each piece transforms those ancient symbols into contemporary jewelry. The wire honors the original lines, allowing them to live again — not on stone, but close to the heart. What was once permanent in rock becomes permanent in meaning.
